Ultrasonic transmitters were attached sea turtles that came up to nest at Chagar Hutang in April 2018. To pick up on the signals emitted by these transmitters, ultrasonic receivers were deployed in the bays in adjacent to the Chagar Hutang Turtle Sanctuary and the Taaras Beach & Spa Resort, from April until September 2018. Results from this research will reveal the paths used by nesting sea turtles around the two bays and potential differences in the paths used by new and returning mothers before coming up to lay their eggs.
