It was developed to provide assistance in long-term monitoring, tagging, in-situ egg incubation, research and conservation for sea turtles. This unique program provides opportunities for the public from around the world to experience and get close to these beautiful ancient creatures, including green and hawksbill turtles. Chagar Hutang is an isolated area in Pulau Redang where are less than optimal; there are no communication network available, minimal electricity and wooden cabins. Most of the volunteer works are heavy work that requires good physical health.
